UETDRRF004 – Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel  and

HLTAID009 – Provide cardio pulmonary resuscitation

These combined units cover the skills and knowledge required to rescue a person who becomes in contact with live LV electrical conductors, a live LV panel or live LV equipment AND the skills and knowledge required to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council ( ARC ) guidelines until the arrival of medical or other assistance

Required CPR LVR training in N.S.W is recertified every 12 months

QLD Electrical Safety Act, Code of Practice 2002– amended  May 2011  States – that an electrician working on equipment which is LIVE or has the potential to be accidentally energised MUST have a safety observer present

Work Health and Safety Regulation 2017under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and Managing Electrical Risks in the Workplace – Code of Practice 7. RISK CONTROLS – ENERGISED ELECTRICAL WORK – WHS Regulation 161

A safety observer is required by legislation in certain circumstances

Participants in this Nationally Recognised course MUST provide their Unique Student Identifier number before or at the course they attend

 IF THEY DO NOT ALREADY HAVE a USI number they can obtain one by logging into the below website and following the instructions

Please ask the participants to keep their USI number and password they create in a safe place so they can use it again when attending any Nationally Recognised qualification course

Students only need 1 USI number that they can use for all courses. They do not need to apply for a new number each course

UETDRRF004 and HLTAID009 Combined Course duration –  6 to 6.5 hours                  $140 pp

UETDRRF004 only – 3.5 hour course                                                                                 $ 85 pp

Recertification – Combined course – 6 to 6.5 hours                                                         $140 pp

Recertification – LVR only course – 3.5 hours                                                                   $ 85 pp

Course delivery times depend on participant numbers

All courses are GST exempt

– Risk assessment as applied to LVR situations             

– Safe Approach Distance                                               –  Access to equipment / resources

– General principles of LVR                                              – Respond to signs of an unconscious casualty

– LVR procedures including 1 man drag method             – Perform CPR

– LVR kits and equipment                                                – Communicate details of the incident

– Treatment administered to victims of live LV contact
