Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting – HLTAID004

Course duration – Pre course online E Workbook and 8 hours

This course can be divided into 2 sessions if required

Participants in this Nationally Recognised course MUST provide their Unique Student Identifier number before or at the course they attend

 IF THEY DO NOT ALREADY HAVE a USI number they can obtain one by logging into the below website and following the instructions

Please ask the participants to keep their USI number and password they create in a safe place so they can use it again when attending any Nationally Recognised qualification course

Students only need 1 USI number that they can use for all courses. They do not need to apply for a new number each course

Course cost                             $165 per person

 This course is designed to provide participants with the skills, knowledge and Nationally Recognised qualifications to meet the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations: Part 2.4 – Children’s Health and Safety

 

This course is also highly recommended for Primary and Secondary School employees who have responsibilities for children who have Asthma and or Anaphylaxis or require the qualifications to administer Asthma medication ( blue reliever puffer ) and or Epipen or Anapen injection in the case of an emergency

 

Pre Course, ONLINE learning MUST be undertaken and completed before attending the course

– Principles of First Aid

– Shock, Stroke & Fractures, Soft Tissue Injury

– Bleeding Control

– Poisons, Snake Bites, Other Bites & Stings

– Managing Burns

– Bandaging & Slings

– Exposure to Extreme Temperatures

– Diabetes

– Use of EPiPEN

– Asthma & Anaphylaxis identification & treatment – Strategies to reduce risk of Asthma / Anaphylaxis

– Student use of an Automatic External Defibrillator

– Includes full CPR training
